Every spring, mature termite colonies across the Sutherland Shire release winged reproductive termites (alates) on warm, humid evenings — typically after rain. The alates swarm in their thousands, mate in flight, shed their wings and the females begin establishing new colonies. Swarming season in Sydney runs roughly September through December, peaking in October–November.
What to watch for: piles of discarded wings on windowsills, near outdoor lights, on pool decks or in spider webs. The wings are all roughly the same size (4–6mm), translucent, and look like miniature fish scales. Where you find the wings is where a new colony is trying to establish — often within 5–10 metres of where they landed.

What’s included
Most pest issues grow more complex and more expensive the longer they are left alone. A prompt inspection or treatment usually saves money, inconvenience and avoidable damage.
We show up on time, explain the treatment clearly, and back our work with written advice and follow-up recommendations. If you need the next step after an inspection or treatment, you'll know exactly what to do.

Our approach
No two homes, tenancies or commercial sites are the same. Every job gets a tailored plan based on access points, pest pressure, risk level and the outcome you actually need.
Live swarms are easier to spot but only last a few hours. If you see a cloud of small flying insects with two pairs of long wings near outdoor lights or rising from a stump, garden bed or wall cavity at dusk after rain — that is a termite swarm in progress. Do not spray; the alates are not the main problem. The thousands of mating pairs that survive are about to start new colonies.
Swarming termites are not picky about where they establish. Damp timber, rotting stumps, mulch piles, leaf litter against walls, wet soil under leaking taps — all are potential nest sites. A new colony established in spring will have hundreds of workers by autumn and can be threatening structural timber within 12–18 months.
